Cakes

How do I order a cake from Confection Perfection – and what do I need to know?

Visit us, call or email us. We make cakes to any specification – or can produce tailored decorations for your own cake. We can meet any theme for any occasion, and have some easy put-together packages. Cakes, decorations and packages are priced individually. Contact us for more information.

What kind of cakes do you create?

We cater for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, christenings, work parties, Christmas, Easter, thanksgiving, Halloween, and everything else. We can cater for any theme – dragons, football, delicate bouquets, autumn leaves, summer flowers, fairy castles and cauldrons. Cakes can be made in fruit, sponge, chocolate or lemon. View our Gallery or contact us.

Do you cater for allergies and how do you select your ingredients?

We are very aware of allergy sensitivity and create cakes that are nut free, dairy free, egg free and gluten free. We never use boards that have been exposed to nuts or marzipan when an allergy is an issue, or have a nut-free cake exposed to nut-dust. All our staff our aware of all allergy risks. For gluten allergens, we ask that flour is supplied (available NHS). We do ask that any sensitivity is advised at the time of order, when we will evaluate options and confirm policies with you.

How much notice do I need to give for a cake order?

For a wedding cake, we would advise 2-3 months minimum – but if your wedding is between April and September, we would advise placing your order at least 3-5 months ahead of your wedding, and for complex designs 6-12 months in advance. For all other personal cakes we would advise 3-6 weeks notice, and cakes for business 1-2 weeks (basic package) or 1-3 weeks (business occasions).

If I want to make my own cake, can you provide everything I need?

We can provide everything from tins to icing, marzipan, ribbon and decorations. Decorations can be be-spoke plaques, figurines or curiosities. We also have recipes to help you create the perfect cake.

If I’ve made a cake, can you ice and finish it for me?

We can’t ice your cake, but can decorate it with you in a one-to-one session. We can make decorations for you, and if you have bought a cake from a high street retailer, we can finish it for you. Or you can come on one of our training courses, bring your cake with you and finish it with our help, as part of a group. Contact us for more information.

Do you do deliveries, and for events, assist with display?

We deliver wedding and stand-supported celebration cakes, and ensure that set-up will be handled reliably – by us, or venue staff. We always make sure it is clear how your cake should be managed and displayed.

Other cakes need to be collected, or delivered by a tried and tested courier - but all cakes will be safely transported to a car, and are packed in boxes that prevent movement. We also provide advise on all aspects of cake care.

Courier delivery charges start at £30 for the Hildenborough, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Tunbridge wells areas.
