Dinosaur cake course

We will bake 2 hemisphere cakes for you which you will fill with jam & buttercream and then decorate as a very cute dinosaur. Everything is explained step by step and you will be amazed at how many skills are covered. You will be able to choose your preferred colours for your dinosaur. The picture with several dinosaur cakes were made by students on the last course.

- How to ice a sphere shaped cake
- Different types of icing and how to choose/ use it
- How to model the dinosaur head, legs and tail
- How to create the spines
- How to add additional details to enhance your cake
- How to use modelling tools
- How to make edible 'sand' (from cake)
- Storage and transportation of your cake.

Lyn is a highly experienced and accomplished cake decorator, especially when it comes to modelling and shoes. Calm, patient and kind Lyn shares her knowledge clearly and is always there to help.
Everything is Included including the cake, masonite board, all icings and a box.
All the equipment is provided for you and you also receive a set of course notes.
We provide tea, coffee, drinking water and cake.
You may like to bring an apron (please don't buy one - we have spares!)

Fantastic evening learning the best way to approach decorating a sphere and how to model legs, face & spikes. Easy to follow with everything easily available to use. Can be adapted to make a bigger cake or style of cake. Lyn was great in describing all the different techniques needed to make the cake; taking the time to go over parts when people asked.
